In spite of it all, life is fine. And, the audible version of my book is coming along nicely; due date – 57th birthday. I recorded it during the summer and started focusing on it, finally, after procrastinating and feeling intimidated by the process of editing and mastering my own book. Now that I’ve hit a groove, in just a few days, practically half my chapters have consistently passed the ACX requirements for Amazon.
To double check, a tool called 2nd Opinion is fantastic, as long as you remember to create folders. Joining groups like “Authors who Narrate” on Facebook, moderated by Beth Norris Anderson, has proved invaluable.
You really don’t have to be a sound engineer, as long as your voice lends well to the medium, you have the right equipment and create the right quiet zone. As long as you are willing to learn Audacity, or another software you find compatible and willing to navigate.
I’m not technical, but can be methodical when necessary.
If I can do it, anyone can.
