A couple of Europhiles discuss Trento and Piemonte, with love

On today’s podcast Francis and Bailey compare and contrast two fantastic regions in northern Italy. They discuss Trentino’s charm, its Venetian qualities and how it became the windsurfing capital of Europe. They cover those atmospheric tunnels that make driving around the lake feel unique, and precisely why Germans consider Lake Garda the uber tourist destination.

Bailey and Francis have lived in both regions, and love Piemonte’s biodiversity and award winning products. They talk about each place as a personality, about ‘campanilismo’ and ‘testa dura’, and why both regions are worth talking about in a country full of artisans; where the pasta is al dente and the coffee tastes like a milkshake.
