Edward L. Bernays was an American business consultant who is widely recognized as the father of Public Relations. He sold World War 1 to the American public, branding it ‘make the world safe for democracy’.
Sound familiar? Basically another father of propaganda. He knew most people don’t desire something for its value, rather it represents something else they may unconsciously crave.

I’m getting old and certainly old enough to feel the patterns of propaganda. It’s so tedious, it’s everywhere, yet I don’t read, feel it, or hear it as much here in Italy. Not as much as you might read it, say, in the US, UK and Russian media.
