Stefano and all that jazz

There’s Stefano the Sax Man, standing there and taking in some thanks.

Stefano Menato is a friend and neighbor here on the lake. And quite the musician so when he said he’s playing outside our place we parked a coupla chairs and had a lovely listen. After we heard some blue grass and jazz I cycled off into the good night with Gigi and Gastone, the evening cooling us down with the wind in our hair.

The summer is full of music festivals in Riva del Garda and beyond, the place is hopping and everyone’s having so much fun.

During the year I often see Stefano on a park bench just outside the front door, smoking a pipe, relaxing. Right before he heads off to teach students on so many instruments I’ve lost count. During the summer he’s booked solid, playing funk, jazz, opera and just about everything else.

Always with a smile, such a sweet, engaging guy. Nice to see him taking in some thanks along the lake.
