This is how TikTok helped fuel sales of print books. It’s called #BookTok

Specifically young women and teenagers are sharing their emotions about books. They’re doing it on #BookTok and they’re helping drive sales in a major way – both new and old titles. Great news.

Readers bought over 825 million print books in the US in 2021, more than any year since records began in 2004. Retailers are creating “BookTok Made Me Buy It” sections to include popular titles from the app.

Social media can be immensely positive.
