In this chaotic and often wicked world control your imagination or someone else will

Steve McQueen played Henri ‘Papillon’ Charriere in the original Papillon. I watched the remake last night, what an epic story and what an ending.

Because Henri Charriere owned his imagination.

When I met my husband we fell in love and he wanted to sail around the world. I didn’t. But he did want a papillon so we got two; Colette and Godot. Then we named our first sailboat Papillon. One papillon led to another, one sailboat lead another, the second one carried us from one continent to another. We didn’t go around the world but we did cross the Atlantic. I’m glad we made it; we almost didn’t.

The word Papillon has meaning. They say image says everything so I made a little vid.

The original Papillon starred Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman, the remake on Netflix, Charlie Hunman and Rami Malek, both great; Henri was supposed to die and the ending is divine.

Dream away and may they all come true….
