I took this video last June when the water levels were normal. Northern Italy then experienced our worst drought in 70 years last summer and it was brutally hot.
This spring it continues to rain, if only for 5 minutes a day, but there was terrible flooding in the Emilia-Romagna region. That region gets my attention for this is where I found Gigi and Gaston. This is where Bologna acts as capital, perhaps the food capital of Italy with its insanely delicious ragù. Even its color is unique; a soft coral sauce. I can still taste my last trip to my mecca.
Fast forward one year later and it would appear the water levels are back to normal here on Lake Garda.
Gratitude goes to mother nature.
