Winter vineyards and quiet environs in Piemonte, Italy

Italy’s success at exporting their culture is seen in the northern region where Piemontese farmers produce rice for the rest of Europe. The Swiss come here to make their chocolate because of the prized hazelnuts. There’s plenty of truffles, world famous wine like Barolo, Barbera and Barbaresco and Moscato, award winning cheese and oh so much.

To be covered in my next book, “Personal Legends of Piemonte”. Where you can learn to listen to the trees, live a self-sufficient life, hike amongst the mountains and learn all about the superheroes of Piemontetheir herbs. They will heal, as will the quiet environs that create surround sound, like the Alps.

I used to think Piemonte was the secret that needed to be told – yet I have a feeling the secret is getting out.

Through work, tradition and family, Piemonte is fighting their own rear guard action against modernity, at least the less enhancing bits. And those winter vineyards are awfully pretty to drive by….
