We spent 4 days in Rome and it was fantastic. And it was also full; due to post covid release. Apparently this is happening all over Italy, although here on Lake Garda the tourists clear out for the winter.
I didn’t mind the crowds. I don’t like crowds but I love Rome. Nothing gets in the way of the innate joy experienced while roaming around our former home. What did surprise me was the fact they’re charging people to get into the Pantheon. Then you have to wait in line.
So I just waved, walked on by and felt gratitude for living in the eternal city when we did. When it was a little less chaotic.
I may be getting old, but I’m also getting more grateful….
