Election Season

The English election let us know Labor can receive 36% of the vote and assume 100% of the power. I was sorry to see George Galloway lose; au revoir, but not adieu. Two friends came to visit from London last week. They just focus on the family and work, and I think that works well for them.

The French election was a shock, a French farce. Macron insisted on staying in the game – Moliere’s play, ‘Tartuffe’ comes into play. Without a majority, decisions will be practically impossible.

Plenty of riots in Paris last night, Olympics on the way; forecast is not good. At least they have their cafe culture. Hope that helps.

Layer upon layer of chaos. I used to think the mantra, ‘Save yourself, save the planet’, was a bit silly – but like our dear English friends –

– take care of yourself
