…Long after the silly scandal, the Finnish PM Sanna Marin was asked what motivated her to be Prime Minister.

“I just wanted to have a experience”.

Kinda sums up the mentality of the current crop of western leaders – rather than being deeply concerned with the people, they’re only concerned with their personal agenda. Building their own network, navigating new opportunities, this type of thing.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if they were committed to the task at hand when elected in the first place; dedicated to improving things for people.

The focus on individual rather than the collective; even when in public service. Perhaps that’s why I chose this out of the interview below. Most frivolous or most profound. Too much to choose from.
