Here I am in cooking school heaven – in Piemonte, Italy. Making several kinds of pasta, grossini, everything – first principle and fantastic for the body and mind.
We ate pasta on a plate, but you can eat it the way they’ve been eating it forever @ Madonna delle Neve, on a soft white linen napkin.
It’s located in the town of Cesole, in the region of Piemonte nestled against the Italian, French and Swiss Alps in northern Italy.
Madonna delle Neve was a country inn created by her family in the early 50’s; now it’s a prime destination for local gastronomy. In fact, Chef Piera is one of the people I interview for my next book. A life full of purpose and contentment.
Chef Piera didn’t have to move a mile to find her bliss. I had to sail across the Atlantic aboard a sailboat and cross the entire length of the European continent to find mine. You can only imagine how much I admire Chef Piera. I call her The Goddess.
So much to look forward to and if you can’t make it to Piemonte anytime soon, just make your own agnolotti, or buy it – but fresh!
Here’s a few photos of Chef Piera making the magic happen:
