Bailey Alexander was born in Santa Rosa, California and raised in Seattle. In 2002 she and her husband Francis sailed across the Atlantic aboard their 43 Nauticat with two small dogs named Colette and Godot. They proceeded to live in Rome, Paris, Geneva, Amsterdam, Prague and Bucharest.

After a nomadic decade they bought a place in Piemonte and settled down for 7 years, it felt like a pilgrimage – so many lessons learned. But then it was time to take the elixir and move to Riva del Garda. After all, this was her first home in Europe back in 2002.

Such are the cycles of life. After a peripatetic life, Bailey now lives happily on Lake Garda in northern Italy with the next generation of dogs; Gigi and Gastone.
