Oh the people you will meet and the places you will go in “Personal Legends of Piemonte”
Here’s the link for digital version
The story begins
“Once upon a time there was a baker named Francesco Caballo who lived in a town called Limone…”
If you prefer Italian, the second half begins:
“C’era una volta un fornaio di nome Francesco Caballo che viveva in un borgo chiamato Limone…”
Either language – the book is light and ‘fluente’ as the Italian said to me.
Rome and Florence are fine, but if you crave an atmospheric and pristine new place to escape to – come and meet the Piemontesi
